Our sales department team took a 3 days 2 nights vacation in Palawan. Relieving our stress from work and sales quotas we booked our flight via Zest Air. Unfortunately, last flight was the only available slot. So our first day was to eat dinner and rest.
One of my colleague's husband is a local of Puerto Princesa. Her in-laws assisted us where we can stay during our trip. A blessing on our budget, they offered us a vacant apartment operated by their relative for free. Good thing it already have 2 double deck beds where we can sleep. We hurriedly put our bags down and looked for a restaurant we can eat dinner.
We woke up early the next day to have breakfast and market our food we will bring on our Island Hop. Warm-up our muscles by walking to the nearby wet market.
Honda Bay is a few minutes from town proper. We rented our boat for our island hop to see the emerald waters they were proud of.
Our first stop is the Isla Pandan resort. The resort has the usual amenities
such as picnic cottages and room accommodation.
While our boatman cooked our sumptuous lunch, we took advantage of the clear waters, starfish and fine white sand.
The weather was admirable. To relieve the hot temperature we refresh ourselves with a fresh buko juice. A local will climb the buko tree to sell this to you at a minimal cost.
Second island, the Snake Island. Compared to Isla Pandan, this island does not have room accommodation. They only offer native cottages and mini store.
It is a long sandbar that slithers on the surface of the sea.
I feel like the sun's center is here. The temperature is freaking burning my skin. Maybe there is no trees around. Only sand and sea water.
Next, is the Starfish Island. By the name itself you will find various sizes
of starfish here.
Aside from starfishes around, mangroves is also great here.
It was my first time to snorkel. So I was so excited to arrive at the Coral reef. You can feed fishes here. My first time is the best. It really was!
The ladies from the Sales department. Smile!
Of course we will not miss the official nominee of the Philippines to the 7 Wonders of the World, The Subterranean River or famously called the Underground River.
Group jump shot!
A navigable river with limestone cave with rock formations of stalactites and stalagmites. Bats usually use this as their home.
Rock formations found inside the cave.
Amazing formations done by nature.
We dropped by the Palawan Wildlife rescue and Conservation.
Our new found buddy.. "Mags, it isn't your prince charming". Hahahaha!
Our last destination and pasalubong stop is the Baker's Hill. Home of the freshly baked goodies.
It has a mini themed park with dine in restaurant, playground and zoo.
Hey, Ms. Monroe don't touch it!
As we went home from our great escape, we realized that life is isn't work at all. Sometimes we need to see the other side of the world. Have a break! Get some travel. Explore nature, new people, and cultures.
" Live your life today for tomorrow may never come."
