Ambon-Ambon falls

The plan all started from a nowhere talk about beaches, getaway and vacation from the four corners of our office. It was a laid back day that time. When suddenly, I invited my office mates to experience a nature day trip. Being the head of the journey , I was in-charge of the whole itinerary. So I asked my boyfriend of places which we can enjoy a day not having the long drive since Sunday was our only free day at the office.

He suggested the hidden nature of Pangil River Eco Park. Honestly, this was very unfamiliar to me. I've been to some of the best beaches in the Philippines, but I never imagine that somewhere in Laguna we will experience the nature we've been longing for.

It was a sunny Sunday morning, when we packed our bags and head our way to the unexplored and hidden nature of Pangil, Laguna.Of course, I am with my new travel companions (new recruit from our office, hehehe)..

We drove from Antipolo going to Rizal. The weather was sunny and ideal for a weekend getaway.  After two hours of enjoying the curve roads, cliffs and rice fields along the way, we've reached at last our destination. Before we explore what this Eco Park can offer, we took a shot first. Our faces were filled of excitement and enery.

As our tour guide assist us on our cottage (floating as you can see), I can't wait to bring out my camera and took picture of this wonderful gift from nature.

We hurriedly changed our clothes and get ready to see the "Ambon-Ambon falls" (the highlight of the Eco Park). Our tour guide told us that in able to reach the falls we will trek for 30mins to an hour (depends on your enery =).

The first phase of our journey was indeed easy..

Crossing the slippery rocks was not easy but fun.

Moving on....

So far, this was the hardest trail for me since we can't hardly see what we are stepping on.. whew!

I thought this was the last step, but our tour guide told us we are going to ride 3 bamboo rafts before reaching the falls. Sounds exciting.. Yipee! 1st raft..

2nd raft....

The last raft ride.. We can hear the sounds of the falls from here..

At last the falls... (It looks like a face of a dog, hehehe)..

We quickly jumped off the raft and swam on the cold water.

All the trails we've been through was worth it. Our reward, a good body massage..While enjoying the cool water, I was wondering the trail going back to our cottage. Naaah!! Not again.. Hahaha! But our guide offered us the rubber tubbing ride for a faster trail.. What was that?

This was it! Riding on a rubber float (yes, it is the thing found on vulcanizing shops)..

Only in the Philippines... Amazing idea!

While we were away, the wife our guide grilled our liempo and tilapia for lunch. Yummy!

Siesta time......Picture Picture!!!!

Take a pose ladies!!! The hanging bridge...

Who will miss the jump shot??? Not us....

It is nice to see new places, adventures, and discover nature at its best! Doubtlessly, I am a proud local of my country. Another destination conquered!
